As the editor of Time Out Los Angeles, I’m responsible for editing all pages that appear on the website for style, substance and tone. This also includes working with both staff writers and freelancers to assign, plan and publish stories.
In addition, I served as editor for seven issues of a (now retired) quarterly print edition of Time Out Los Angeles. I was in charge of planning out all of the stories and working closely with the art department to conceptualize covers and design treatments. As for the words, I would oversee multiple rounds of edits on pieces from other writers, and I’d also tackle a number of features and section listings myself.
You can view digital editions of the quarterly magazine here, as well as some feature spreads (and their online adaptations) below.
The first three selections are feature stories from other writers that I edited; the following three are listings-based sections that I curated and wrote; the final spread is a mix of the two.
